Reminder: Tony Schera’s Honor Flight is this Wednesday

Brothers, just a reminder that this Wednesday, our brother Knight Tony Schera will be going to Honor Flight in Washington D.C. along with other veterans. (For more information on Honor Flight, click here: https://www.honorflightcmh.org/about) More details on time and location are here: https://kofc11445.com/events/tony-scheras-honor-flight

As a longstanding member of our council, Tony was one of our “super volunteers” until his health declined just a few years ago.

As a veteran of the US Navy, he was deployed onboard several ships during his years of service in the 1960’s, including one of the ships involved in the Cuban Missile Crisis. He and his shipmates stood guard over our nation while the other troops were fighting in Vietnam. He stood watch for us, let’s thank him for his service.

His Honor Flight trip is a once-in-a-lifetime event for him, and I know it would mean a lot to Tony if a large group of us met him—and the other veterans—at the welcome-home event at Port Columbus Airport.

If you’re going, please let me know so we can coordinate where and when we’re going to meet at Port Columbus. Either email me or RSVP on the event page linked above.
