We need the assistance of a few able-bodied men for some light to heavy
manual labor on Saturday, October 31. We will be continuing the project
that was started in June to install posts at the Bridgettine convent. My
goal is to get around 6-8 guys to help.
What: Help install posts at the convent property
When: Saturday, October 31 at 8:30am
Where: 40 N. Grubb St, Columbus
Why: To fulfill our mission as Knights and support the religious within
our diocese
What to bring: Gloves, shovels, pickaxes, and a wheelbarrow. If you don’t
have any of the above, no problem. Please still come and help.
Like last time the project will be run by our brother Knight, Nick Gess.
He has rented a skid steer to do most of the heavy work.
Even if you can only come for part of the day, please consider pitching
in. The timeline depends on the number of volunteers, but we hope to be
wrapped up by early afternoon.
If you haven’t been to the property before, it’s behind Holy Family on W.
Broad St. You can park behind the property on Scott St. near N. Grubb.
Please reply to me directly if you plan to come so I know how many are
coming. I’ll be onsite a bit early and my contact info is below. It would
be a wonderful thing if the Knights can come through with a strong group.
Thank you in advance for pitching in with this effort.
In Christ,
Tom
