It’s hard to believe that we’re only a little over a month away from the kickoff to Hoagies For Heaven: Sales will begin the weekend of January 20th. Assembly will take place Friday, February 9th, and distribution will be February 10th and 11th (Super Bowl weekend).
But this year, we’re adding a new wrinkle: February 10th is also Trivia Night, and instead of a food truck, Hoagies For Heaven will be the food option for trivia night attendees. People will still pre-order the subs, but for an upcharge (in the $3 range) we’ll deliver a heated sub to customers’ tables with a bag of chips. Runners will be 7th and 8th graders who need service hours, but we will need at least 2 men with PGC clearance to heat the subs in the cafeteria kitchen. It’s about a 2-hour commitment. Refreshments (and subs) will be provided.
I’m looking for volunteers to take on the kitchen detail so I’m putting the call out early.
Also, since we’re likely going to smash last year’s record, this has grown to be too big for me to handle solo. I’m looking for someone to co-chair with me.
