Novena to Blessed Margaret of Castello “Little Margaret”– This Friday

Hi Family and Friends,

Thank you for your support and prayers throughout our journey with our
daughter Caroline Mary. As you may know, Caroline has Meckel Gruber
Syndrome, a rare genetic condition with a 100% fatality rate. We expect her
arrival around June 9th and because of this condition, doctors predict her
life expectancy will be minutes to hours.

That leaves us with a harsh reality of planning as we process what is God’s
will. We know that He has a special plan for Caroline and we have put her
care in His hands. Ultimately, we hope that it is in God’s plan to provide
a miraculous healing for Caroline and use the healing all for His Glory.

Through a series of fortuitous circumstances, we came to learn about
Blessed Margaret of Castello. You can read a short history
<www.littlemargaret.org/little-margaret/> of her life. We later
learned that the Dominicans at St Patrick’s Parish in Columbus (for the
out-of-towners, it’s basically down the street from us) are in charge of
advancing her cause for sainthood and that Blessed Margret only needs one
more miracle to become an official saint in the church! Through a friend,
we have a first class relic of Blessed Margaret visiting our home until
Caroline’s birth that we can venerate and pray with daily. Whatever this
outcome “Little Margaret” has become a friend to our family and we can
already tell that she is interceding for our family in many different ways .

Blessed Margaret’s feast day is April 13 – a Saturday this year. *S**tarting
TOMORROW, Friday, April 5th *(and leading up to her feast day on April
13th), we will be praying a 9 day novena
<www.littlemargaret.org/novena/> for a miraculous healing for our
sweet daughter – you can find the entire prayer for each day on that
webpage. Our prayer army at St. Michael’s is also participating, and has
been distributing a yellow pamphlet, which has the same prayers as that
webpage.

Please feel free to forward this e-mail on to anyone you know who might
like to join us in this novena.

We have not finalized plans yet for Saturday the 13th, and for those who
are local, we’ll follow up with details.

We could never thank you enough for all of your support and prayers for
Caroline and our family. It is in His love and mercy that we can find hope.

Blessed Margaret of Castello, pray for us!

Tom, Jessica, Jane, Edward, Andrew, and Caroline

PS For those who don’t have it already, we have been keeping a blog to
document our journey with Caroline. If you are interested, you can follow
it at lifeofcarolinemary.blogspot.com.
