Our 3rd annual Hoagies for Heaven fundraiser for vocations will be kicking off the weekend of October 12-13th. This is a low-effort fundraiser that has given us a great response from the parish. Last year we sold 553 subs and made almost $2700 towards vocations. We’ll likely sell over 600 subs this year with your help.
The entire operation will be identical to prior years. The only change is that the order forms will now feature lines to allow people to buy subs to donate directly to Frs. Dinovo & Herge, the Dominican Sisters, and the seminarians at the PCJ.
We will need volunteers for the following:
- Two order takers will be needed for each Mass the weekends of October 12-13, 19-20, and 26-27. This is a 15-20 minute commitment.
- Sub assembly will take place after the morning Mass on Saturday, November 2nd. (This is an OSU bye week.) With enough volunteers, this is a one hour commitment. Since this is also All Soul’s Day, I’d like as many of us as possible to attend Mass to pray for the Holy Souls in Purgatory.
- Two volunteers will be needed for distribution from 11am-1pm November 2nd, and after each Mass Nov 2nd & 3rd. This is a 15-20 minute commitment.
If you regularly attend a certain Mass time, please consider being a co-chair for that Mass. The only additional responsibility of the co-chair is to receive the iPad and petty cash from the co-chair at the previous Mass, and pass it on to the co-chair of the next Mass.
