REGULAR BUSINESS MEETING

Deputy Director Golden initiates the Installation of Officers by an opening prayer followed by the Pledge of Allegiance at 7:35 PM.

Installation of Officers.

A regular business meeting was then called to order by Grand Knight Greve following the installation at 7:51 PM followed by an opening prayer.

A motion was made to waive reading and approve the minutes of the prior meeting, which was seconded and passed by voice vote without objections.

CHAPLAIN’S REPORT:

No report.

REPORTS OF OFFICERS:
Grand Knight (John Greve)

Festival will be coming up before next meeting.

Put in time for the Festival!

Treasurer (Chris Axene)

  • Cleared Balance thru end of July before set-asides: $19566.20
  • Renewed CD in July for new 8mo term at 4% with same bank

Family Director (Sean Murray)

  • Will send out survey for family activities
  • Looking to replace pool party activity

Council Director (John Greve)

Looking to pencil in some social events for Brothers only

Faith Director (Mike LaMorte)

  • This Friday Aug 14th is the Pilgrimage to Our Lady of Constellation
    • Info in bulletin
  • Solemnity of the Assumption
  • Sept 19th, Holiness Conference
  • Oct 24th, Columbus Catholic Young Adult Conference
  • Just one hour of adoration a month!!
    • Sign up as a sub for Eucharistic Adoration!

Life Director (Wayne Lovely)

  • Respect Life committee has adopted a Holy Hour on Saturday at 9AM for Adoration
    • Join them!
  • Beginning biggest Adoration campaign
    • 2/3 of the way with filling the chapel with Knights
    • Need 40-50 commitments
    • Goal is to return to Perpetual Adoration
  • September is 40 Days for Life
    • Keep your eyes out for info
    • Running thru Nov 1
  • October is Respect Life month
  • Theme: Mary Mother of Life
    • Consider a consecration to Jesus through Mary
    • See Br Lovely for books on this!

Report on the 4th Degree (Tony Matlak)

  • 4th Degree is the patriotic arm of the brotherhood.
    • They do a lot of things including installing pastors
    • Funerals and visitations
  • Anyone looking to join, see Br Matlak or another 4th Degree Knight!

Formation/Evangelization (Wayne Lovely)

  • Pick up faith by fireside in September, towards the end when it’s cooler
  • It’s a fun activity by the fire, pray the Rosary, bourbon and faith filled conversation
