In less than four weeks, we will pull our bus “Joseph” (named after St. Joseph the worker) up to the first homeless camp of the season, prepared to give the people living there crucial warming supplies vital for their survival. We don’t know yet who will meet us there or what their stories are. What we do know is that everyone in that camp, like every human being, deserves to live and sleep without the fear of freezing to death.
Mission Warmth operates on the simple belief that no one should freeze to death! Each year, we gather critical warming supplies – coats, hats, gloves, boots, sleeping bags, and other items – and meet unhoused people where they are to distribute those items. Last year, volunteers and donors like you funded and staffed fourteen outreach missions that served 650 Central Ohio homeless people. Our work is far from done; more than 2,000 unhoused individuals in Franklin County are at risk of injury and freezing due to extreme weather exposure.
This year, we are embarking on an ambitious outreach mission season to serve even more people, and we need your help!
Will you make a donation today to warm our neighbors?
* $75 fuels the bus for one outreach mission
* $150 outfits one camper with all necessary warming supplies
* $500 provides one month of storage so we can prepare all year long
* $5,000 funds an entire outreach mission
Your tax-deductible gift of any size allows us to increase the number of outreach missions we conduct and the number of people we serve.
