No Knights, no festival

Brothers, I hate to have to double-down on Seth’s email from this morning, but it’s really this simple:

Without the Knights’ help, our parish festival won’t happen.

Well, it will happen, but it won’t be successful.

I don’t have firm statistics to support this, but my SWAG is that 30-40% of the labor involved in setup, volunteer slots, and teardown if provided by our council. That’s not insignificant. And not having that help means the other people have to carry that burden.

Traveling this weekend? Help with setup this week.

In town this weekend? Take a volunteer shift. Or two. Or three. (FYI: Our Knights who run the casino need a lot of help.)

Many hands make light work. Head over to the festival website and sign up:

(Yes, showing up is the most important part… but if you can take a few minutes and sign up if you know you’re going to show up, it will help the organizers not freak out. It will also stop emails like this.)
