We had a tremendous response this year for our third annual Hoagies for Heaven fundraiser for vocations. Here are the final numbers:
- We made 609 subs in under 50 minutes. I didn’t get an official headcount, but about 30 Knights showed up to help assemble subs this year.
- All 609 subs were sold: 567 were pre-ordered, the rest were purchased the day of distribution
- 37 subs were purchased for Frs. Dinovo & Herge; 54 were purchased for the Dominican Sisters; 65 were purchased for the seminarians. Frs. Dinovo & Herge only took 13 so the remainder were sent to the Josephinum.
- After expenses, we made $3114.25 for vocations. This is an increase of $444.03 over 2018 and $767.93 over 2017.
Thanks to all who were involved in this year’s Hoagies for Heaven. It wouldn’t have been possible without you. Special thanks to Brian Elliot for taking orders at all 8:30 Masses, Mike Bogue, Jeff Pillivant, and Wayne Lovely for helping out after every Mass they were at, and Dan & Wende Hageman for their help (especially with kitchen access). Also, thanks to “the pesto crew”: Jeff Pillivant, Brian Elliot, Chris Fricke, Dan Hageman, and of course Greg & Margie Eckert for filling 600 pesto cups.
Great job, Mike!
Thank you!
