Fr. Dana Christensesn of the Diocese of Souix Falls, South Dakota, was diagnosed with ALS (a.k.a. Lou Gehrig’s disease) in December. This is a degenerative, terminal condition. You can read his story here or listen to a podcast of an interview with him here.
He is requesting the following prayer for his healing:
Eternal Father, You alone grant us every blessing in Heaven and on earth, through the redemptive mission of Your Divine Son, Jesus Christ, and by the working of the Holy Spirit. If it be according to Your Will, glorify Your servant, Archbishop Fulton J. Sheen, by granting the favor I now request through his prayerful intercession: the swift, complete and lasting healing of Fr. Christensen’s ALS. I make this prayer confidently through Jesus Christ, Our Lord. Amen.
