I received the following volunteer opportunity listing from the Area Special Olympics Coordinator regarding the softball tournament Sat. 8/18:
On Saturday, the 18th of this month, there will be a softball tournament at Veterans Memorial Park in Hilliard. The address is 3800 Veterans Memorial Drive off Scioto Darby Road. We’re looking for volunteers to work with our individual skills athletes that will run, catch and throw for awards. We’re asking anyone interested to come by 8:30as we start the tournament at 9:00. We should be done by 1:00. There will be a lunch of a hot dog, chips, cookies and water. There will be a concession stand available. Many of you have volunteered at our bowling tournament.
